Editorial policy
Clear Screen Stories aims to make its explanations accurate, readable and fair to the variety of rural life. Our subject is screens and their settings, approached with curiosity rather than grand claims.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against appropriate sources and take care with dates, terminology and context. A vivid example is not proof of a general rule. When details are uncertain or interpretations differ, we say so rather than smoothing away the distinction.
Independence and corrections
Editorial choices remain separate from partnership arrangements. If a reader identifies a factual error, we review it and make a clear correction when warranted. Significant changes are described in the article so readers can understand what was amended.
Partner material
Paid or otherwise supported material is labelled plainly where it appears. A partnership does not buy editorial approval, and partner placements are kept distinct from independent editorial work.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be AI-generated. Where an illustration is AI-generated, we label it as such; illustrative images are not evidence that a depicted scene or event took place.
A screen belongs to its setting
A screen is never quite alone: the room, the company and the rhythms of a place all affect what it means to watch.
